About Mike Humphreys.
I was born near
Portsmouth, in Hampshire,
England.
Graduated from Grammar School and following my family tradition joined
The Royal Navy, in 1973, at age 16, as an
Aircraft Mechanic in the Fleet Air Arm.
I served aboard several ships, travelled the
world, obtained many promotions and attended a Naval Engineering College.
Amongst the appointments I secured was 3 years in Property Management at a major
Naval Air Station. In 1983 , I married Alison, my High School sweetheart. I was
promoted to Chief Petty Officer in 1987. During my 24 years of service I was
awarded the Queens Jubilee Medal, Long Service & Good Conduct Medal and a NATO
Campaign Medal. I was honourably discharged in July 1997.
In January 1998 we left England for a new
adventure in the USA and for 2 years toured extensively in our RV. We obtained
our green cards and legal resident alien status and worked at an RV Resort
in Georgia in the summer and wintered at an RV Resort in Hudson, FL.
In 2002 we bought a house in Spring Hill Florida and were living the American
dream. In late 2003, after many days searching for a new home, we decided to
build. My interest in Real Estate was born again. I started to work part time in
a model home, learnt the ropes in Real Estate Florida style and my interest grew
and grew. So much so, that I started Real Estate school and passed my Florida
Real Estate State exams first time.
I am now fully employed at
EXIT SUCCESS REALTY
here in Spring Hill FL and having a blast. I enjoy all aspects of being a
Florida realtor and find a lot of personal satisfaction in helping others obtain
their goals. The knowledge and expertise I have learned is extremely rewarding
and the attention to detail that was ground into me early in my Naval training
is invaluable.
